Each pie chart shows how much carbon dioxide the world has already added to the atmosphere through 2022 (gray) and how much additional carbon dioxide we can add (orange) if we want at least a 50 percent chance of limiting global warming to (left to right) 1.5, 1.7, or 2.0 degrees Celsius (2.7, 3, or 3.8 degrees Fahrenheit) above the pre-industrial global average temperature.
